# **The Green Transformation**

The Northern Cape Province is strongly aligned to the global shift for decarbonization. Investments in renewable energy solutions like Green Hydrogen will bolster the local economy through the development of specialized catalytic infrastructure.

The Northern Cape Province is well placed to take up leadership positions in the fields of alternative energy. We house some of the most ambitious and exciting projects in the world and phase 1 is yet to come to full fruition.

***As a signatory to the Paris Agreement, South Africa has committed to a net zero carbon economy by 2050. The commitments made in the Paris Agreement are catalyzing a fundamental change in how countries at all levels of development source and utilise energy .***

Sasol is conducting a study into the feasibility of Boegoebaai as an export hub for Green Hydrogen and derivatives.
